Instead of sitting on instagram bitching I took my aggression of the oppression towards the black community out on white styrofoam heads. This was the winter of 2021, I was holed up by myself in a 2 story home in the middle up Upstate, NY, where I felt the most isolated that I ever had. I began with the concise ideas to create a representation for different terms that align with the different micro-aggressions I have faced and felt from media, my surroundings, my jobs and my relationships. Each individually titled, Silenced, It's All Rosey, See No Evil, Black Art, + Whitewashed, these heads represent the time we are living now -- The unnecessary racial tension carried through the years through compounded ongoing factors within our society.
